About Psychotherapy

What is Psychotherapy?

“There’s only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that’s your own self” – Aldous Huxley

Psychotherapy aims to improve an individual’s emotional and mental well-being. Through regular face to face sessions you will supported in exploring your inner world, to challenge and address any troublesome behaviours, beliefs, compulsions, thoughts, or emotions, and to improve your relationships.

What is Dance Movement Psychotherapy?

Dance Movement Psychotherapy is a form of psychotherapy. It is a psychodynamic therapy that, as well as talking, uses the innate creativeness of movement that is in all of us to help you express yourself and communicate differently.

More and more evidence shows that the mind and body are inextricably linked. By using body movement and creativity, we can give the unformed unconscious an embodied form, allowing us to explore parts of ourselves that are often hidden.

Once in the open, we can find a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us, and a sense of release from troubling experiences.
