Sessions and Fees

What happens in a therapy session?

Each session will always start with time to check-in: a chance for you to share how you are feeling, what’s been happening, and what you have been thinking about. You will then be supported to begin exploring these through creativity and movement.

This takes many different forms and will depend on the themes beginning to emerge. We may move together, or you may want to move on your own, allowing you to be witnessed. We may use music, or you may find quiet is more helpful. There will be objects and materials to add to the creative process, if you so choose. Each session will be different.

Towards the end of the session, we will spend time sharing and thinking about the experience and where it took you. Of course, feeling safe is paramount, as this process of expression and exploration is also one of vulnerability.

As your therapist I will be there to protect you, the space and the session, working alongside you with openness and honesty.

Where do the sessions take place?

All sessions are Central London-based.

How much do sessions cost?

Individual therapy
The fee for individual, long-term therapy is calculated according to income bands. We can discuss this before we start working together.

I offer an initial 10 minutes’ conversation on the phone to understand what brings you to therapy. This gives you the opportunity to decide if you would like to meet me.

Our first session is a consultation. I will ask you a few questions about your own history and well-being to understand if I can help.  We will discuss your goals for therapy as well as fees and the number of sessions. You will be able to ask questions and discuss any concerns you might have.

Each session, including the initial consultation, lasts 50 minutes.

Group therapy
The fee for group therapy is calculated according to the size of the group and the length of the session.
